Research status

Research status: CONFIRMED as Georg Michael Renk's mother — his burial entry in the Wallhausen register for 1814, no. 8, read from the image, names his parents as Georg Sebastian Renk, a mason at Wallhausen, and Eva Barbara, both Lutheran S921. It is our Georg Michael: a mason at Wallhausen and the widower of Maria Barbara, as in his son Georg Andreas's 1813 marriage entry S443. Confirmed 28 September 2026

Life in the order the records give it

Record1703
The register gives her given names only. The family tree's surname Kochendörfer, and a birth on 10 July 1703 and death on 24 November 1790, are on no record read and are not published here as fact. FamilySearch indexes the same 1814 burial entry; it is not a second record S922

  1. S443Württemberg, Germany, Lutheran Parish Registers — Wallhausen, marriages 1813, no. 1: Georg Andreas Renk and Margaretha Barbara Seibold, 29 January 1813. Ancestry record 14293437. Image examined, read 25 September 2026. Confirmed Georg Andreas Renk, born 27 April 1776, son of Georg Michael Renk, mason, and Maria Barbara, “widower of the late Maria Margaretha geb. Zins”, marries on 29 January 1813 Margaretha Barbara Seibold, born 1784 at Michelbach an der Lücke. The original register, not an index row. It is his second marriage, and it shows his first wife, Maria Margaretha Zins, died between Eva Margaretha's birth in January 1809 and January 1813. The bride's relatives and the pastor named in the entry are not kin and are not entered.
  2. S921Württemberg, Germany, Lutheran Parish Registers — Wallhausen (Kirchenbezirk Blaufelden), burials 1814, vol. 9, no. 8: Georg Michael Renk, died 13 September 1814. Ancestry collection 61023, record 764988521. Image examined, read 28 September 2026. Confirmed “Georg Michael Renk, Maurer dahier”, son of Georg Sebastian Renk, mason here, Lutheran, and Eva Barbara, Lutheran; widower of Maria Barbara (her maiden name is hard to read); aged 75 years 9 months 23 days; died of Entkräftung (the weakness of age) at Wallhausen on 13 September at noon; buried 15 September. The index calls this a baptism; the page is the burial register. The birth about November 1738 is computed from the age, not recorded.
  3. S922FamilySearch index — burial of Georg Michael Renk, Wallhausen, 15 September 1814. FamilySearch ark:/61903/1:1:QPPG-W66W, checked 28 September 2026. Probable Georg Michael Renk, born 1739, buried 15 September 1814; parents Georg Sebastian Renk and Eva Barbara; the index reads the wife's maiden name as “Trencheim”. An index of the same register entry as S921, not an independent record.

Compiled for the Proeger family

Living adults appear by name and relationship, with the year only: no full date of birth and no home town on any page that search engines index, and a living person’s own page is kept out of search engines. Minors appear by name only — no date of birth, no birth year, no age, no school, no place, no address, no other identifying detail. A minor may be named and may appear in a family photograph; nothing further about them is published. Where it is not established whether someone is an adult or a minor, the minor rule applies.
